Asking your documents
How DocFlo picks the project, how to read its sources, and what happens with follow-ups and longer questions.
Ask in plain language, the way you would ask a colleague who has read every document in the project. DocFlo searches the project’s knowledge graph, reads the pages that matter and replies with an answer and the sources it used.
Which project is used
DocFlo works out the project in this order:
- A project you name — In Finance FY26, what were the Q2 travel costs?
- Your default project — set it with Use project Finance FY26.
- Your only project, if you belong to just one.
- Otherwise, DocFlo asks which project you mean and offers the choices.
Reading the sources
Each answer lists what it drew on: the document, the section within it and the page. When two teams keep near-identical documents, the source is how you tell which one you are reading. Only documents whose status is Ready can be cited — see following document processing.
DocFlo is an AI system and can make mistakes. For anything that matters — a contract term, a figure going into a report — open the cited page and confirm it.
Follow-up questions
A follow-up to the same project within 30 minutes continues the same conversation, so And who approved it? knows what “it” is.
Longer questions
A question that spans many documents can take longer than Copilot waits for a reply. DocFlo then answers that it is still working, and keeps going.
- Get the result — fetches the finished answer.
- Stop that answer — cancels it.
