Connecting OneDrive and SharePoint
Link your OneDrive or your organisation’s SharePoint to a project, choose folders, and keep them in sync — with read-only access.
DocFlo syncs documents straight from Microsoft 365, so the knowledge base stays in step with the files your teams already keep. Access is read-only: DocFlo never changes, moves or deletes a file.
Connect
- Ask Connect my OneDrive to this project. DocFlo replies with a one-time link.
- Open it, sign in to Microsoft and approve read-only access.
- Back in Copilot, DocFlo confirms the connection.
If OneDrive is already connected, DocFlo says so and skips straight to browsing.
Browse and choose
| To | Ask |
|---|---|
| See your top-level OneDrive folders | Show my OneDrive folders |
| Find a folder or file by name | Find the Contracts folder in my OneDrive |
| Use a link someone shared | Paste the sharing link |
| Walk SharePoint | Show SharePoint sites, then the libraries, then the folders |
| Add what you found | Add the Contracts folder |
Copilot asks you to confirm before anything is added. Syncing then starts and each file goes through processing.
Every member of the project can ask about the documents in it. DocFlo does not yet narrow answers by each file’s original OneDrive or SharePoint sharing, so add only documents that all project members may see.
Permissions DocFlo asks for
| Source | Permission | Approved by |
|---|---|---|
| OneDrive | Files.Read.All, User.Read, offline_access — read-only, on your behalf |
You |
| SharePoint | Sites.Selected (recommended) or Sites.Read.All — read-only |
Your tenant administrator |
Stop syncing
Ask Disconnect my OneDrive, or remove the source in the project in the DocFlo web app. Documents already added stay until you delete them. See disconnecting and removing DocFlo.
