Data, privacy and security
What DocFlo stores, where it goes to be processed, how it is protected, and how to remove it.
What DocFlo stores
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| The documents you add, and what is derived from them — text, knowledge-graph entries, search indexes | To answer questions about them |
| File details from Microsoft 365, including sharing information | To keep synced files current |
| An encrypted connection to your OneDrive | To keep syncing the folders you chose |
| Your questions and DocFlo’s answers | So follow-up questions continue the conversation |
| A short record of each request — who, which action, when, whether it succeeded | Security and support. Document content is never written to this record |
How it is protected
- In transit — every connection uses HTTPS with TLS 1.2 or higher.
- Credentials — the connection to your Microsoft 365 account is stored encrypted.
- Separation — every request is checked against the person’s workspace and project access.
- Read-only Microsoft 365 access — DocFlo never writes to OneDrive or SharePoint.
- Access ends quickly — signing out, disconnecting or removing a person stops DocFlo within 15 seconds.
AI processing
To answer a question, DocFlo processes only the passages relevant to it. How content is processed, and by whom, is set out in the DocFlo privacy statement. Dedicated and on-premises deployments keep all processing inside your own environment — see enterprise deployments.
